Sarah launched her first wholesale collection at 'Top Drawer', Alexandra Palace, London in 1990. She soon became known for her quintessentially English, vintage-style cloche hats, which she sold throughout the world. In the same year she opened her studio and hat shop in Hockley, Nottingham. During this time, Sarah collaborated with Liberty of London to produce an exclusive collection for their millinery department. She also developed a successful range of mail-order hat kits which were sold by The National Trust.

SPECIAL OCCASION COLLECTION

As Sarah's designs became increasingly more elaborate, designing a ‘Special Occasion Collection’ was a natural progression. Drawing from her theatrical training Sarah worked with lavish fabrics to create a range of highly embellished silk hats . Her designs conveyed a sense of nostalgia which continued to appeal to her international clients and during this time she embarked on a five year collaboration with David Jones Department Stores, Australia. Alongside large brimmed silk hats, Sarah introduced small feather tiara and silk vanity bags to complete the collection.
